SWABI—- Women University of Swabi has organized a day-long training consisting of three different technical sessions for the Police officials of District Swabi at the University’s campus on Thursday.
The event was attended by the representatives of all Police Stations of district Swabi. The Technical Sessions were dealt with Importance of Interactions between Law Enforcement Agencies and Community; Organizational Psychology and Legal Provisions of Behavioral Aspects of Communications with General Public. This was followed by comprehensive group discussion. All the officials took interest with zeal and zest, in the sessions and shared their views regarding the significance of the program.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khanzndi Fatima Khattak, FRSC, FCSP was the chief guest on the occasion. She welcomed the participants and said that Women University’ Swabi believes in community services, as it is essential for the betterment of public and sustainable development. She maintained that since its inception, the Varsity has prioritized its strategic goals of serving society. For this purpose, the University made social services mandatory for the award of degrees to its students. Recently the University has also established Community Development Centre, where different segments of the Society are trained for various skills. She said that todays’ event is one of the step for achieving this milestone.
At the end, she assured that the University will always move forward to make links with community and organization for the betterment of humanity. She shared the University’s vision, mission and core values with police officials.
She appreciated the active participation of police officials and their contributions with respect to public safety and facilitation. She also acknowledged the tremendous sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. She hoped that this training will bring positive impact in bridging the gap between the community and Police officials in term of interactions. She said that the gates of the University will always be open for future collaboration.
She congratulated the Organizing Committee for arranging a successful event and participants for the successful completion of their training.
Syed Khalid Hamdani, DPO Swabi, also attended the technical sessions. He appreciated the efforts of the University’s management regarding the community services. He said that frequent trainings are important for Police employees in order to better serve the community as well as improve their performance. During his speech, he admired the University’s vision and core values. He hoped that in future both the organizations will conduct more joint ventures for making positive change.
The event ended with the certificate distribution ceremony.
