PESHAWAR—Amidst tight security and continuous blockade of roads, connecting Miranshah headquarter of North Waziristan with rest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the PTM sit in protest was continued on third consecutive on Wednesday.
The PTM activists from rest of the province are making attempts to join the protest but they are didn’t allowed to enter North Waziristan. A group of PTM activists from South Waziristan reached in Razmak town of North Waziristan and now on way to Miranshah but they facing frequent road blockades by security forces personnel.
Mohsin Dawar through audio message late on Tuesday confirmed that he was approached by government through Utmanzai Wazir tribal elders jirga for talks and reconciliation but he responded that unless arrival and consulting of other fellows, he couldn’t do anything at this stage. He reaffirmed of continuing the sit in protest till release of all arrested persons, withdrawal of registered cases and stern action against all those personnel and officers responsible for Sunday firing against innocent and peaceful tribesmen at Khar Kamar Datakhel.
On the other hand, there is a relief in curfew hours whereas local tribesmen are allowed to walk and travel on important roads but the non local are not allowed to enter the district, Partial economic activities also resumed in Miranshah, Mirali and other main towns and villages throughout the district. All telephonic lines are on halt whereas maximum PTM activists, shutting down cell phones, making attempts to reach in Miranshah through different and inaccessible routes.
Beside Miranshah, PTM activists and supporters are also staging protest gatherings both in and outside of the country.
